Screentime vs mental wellness

project overview

Screen Sick is an information design poster about the relationship between screen time and mental wellness across employment groups. Through effective data visualization, the poster reveals how sleep, exercise, and social connection are the strongest predictors of wellbeing. The project extends into Yogi, a companion desktop app for tracking screen time and wellness goals.

process

The process starts with sourcing the Screen Time vs Mental Wellness Survey 2025 dataset from Kaggle. The data is cleaned and normalized to bring all variables onto the same scale, then analyzed in Python to calculate the values behind the radial and bar charts. Visualizations are generated to identify patterns before the final charts are rebuilt manually in the poster for design control. Layout and color iterations follow until the composition balances data clarity with visual impact.
